The Old FaithfulCargill Pool Grain Elevator No, I am not talking about the famous Yellowstone geyser here. I am talking about a building that is a hallmark of Buffalo's Outer Harbor and one that I love to photograph over and over. It's hard to believe how long I have not posted a photo of the Cargill Pool Grain Elevator. Today I am correcting that and reseting the clock back at zero.
What is it about this building? It's prominent, asking for attention. It, along with other grain elevator, played a vital role in Buffalo's success. It is on one of the Great Lakes, Lake Erie, and since it is on the lake's eastern shore one can enjoy a sunset view at the same time. However, it would seem I prefer more cloudy scenes as a backdrop for this industrial structure for added drama. I am sure you will see more photographs of this grain elevator on these pages.
Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you (#etbtsy)!
