Misty BarnsKnox Farm, East Aurora, NY This has been a beautiful fall season. So many predictions called for a sub-par showing due to the summer drought but nature had a different opinion, ignored all of the naysayers and put on quite a show. It's also been a bit busy for me on multiple fronts and as a result I did not have a chance to enjoy it to the fullest. Still, there's been much to look at all around, whether in urban areas, in the suburbs, or out in the countryside. Of course, colorful foliage goes best with the outdoors in my opinion thus my choice would be all of the local parks, as well as the countryside around Buffalo, NY.
Today, I'd like to share a couple fall photographs from a local state park, the beautiful Knox Farm in East Aurora, NY. Colors are definitely the advertising feature of the season, however, what would fall be without some beautiful fog? With its off-white color it contrasts all of the colors around and helps them stand out that much more. It also provides mood for any landscape scene. An otherwise ordinary setting can become extraordinary even with just a moderate dose of fog. Add fog to an already picturesque scene and you get something very, very special.
