The last post from Valley of Fire was "on the road" and so is the one today. Quite often, photographers go to great lengths to exclude any signs of civilization from their landscape photographs. And that often includes me. However, I also find myself intrigued by the interplay of man-made structures and natural wonders. And roads are one particular obsession of mine, whether leading through forests, tracking the slopes of mountain sides, passing through deserts, or as in this case, winding through the landscape of Mars. Not literally of course, but I felt pretty sure the views all around me were out of this world. Such a sensory overload! Colors, textures, and then the path of the road winding through it all!
