From the Moravian fields we're off to the rocky north of Bohemia. Right at the beginning of the Teplice Rocks hike one disappears in the forest and does not emerge back until the end. And despite this area being rather well known and advertised and attracting crowds of tourists, they mostly flood the neighboring Adršpach Rocks. Here, you will mostly spend time with your own group and only meet people here and there. To me, that is just about perfect.
Shortly after the start you get an opportunity to climb high on some steep ladders to the top of the surrounding rocks where a sentry castle Střmen used to be. Now it is a wonderful vantage point to get a bird's eye view of the area you're about to hike.

Then, it is time to come down and fully immerse yourself in a true rock city experience. Teplice Rocks do not just have a lot of beautiful rock formations all around, they offer many areas with narrow passages and gaps through towering rock walls around you truly giving you the feeling of a city with high rises around you. Only here. they're not man-made skyscrapers but rocky wonders of nature. And you don't have a bustling noisy city around you but beautiful quiet nature, lots of greenery, fresh air smelling great, birds chirping, slight breeze zipping past you, and lots of time to get lost in thoughts. And yes, it's all rather overwhelming for a photographer trying to take it all in personally, and in camera.

Needless to say, I hope to be back soon for another chance to get lost in this rock city.
Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you! (#etbtsy)
