An abstract art form created purely by light, light refracted of the foot of a glass, then captured by a lens-free camera, a photograph of refracted light, a refractograph. There are no tricks, no playing with depth of field by adjusting the lens aperture. It's pure light captured directly by the sensor.
Creating these abstract forms of light, or refractographs, feels like magic. You start with a black space and just by positioning the refractive glass in front of the camera can create amazing light patterns. And the magic continues as you can move the glass in relation to the camera and turn it to adjust the form to your liking.
So why Teleport? Sometimes, these abstract light patterns immediately remind me of something, other times, I try to look at them until that something jumps at me. So, this is a teleport chamber that will shoot you up into space and deliver you to the final destination, wherever that is.
