Lower Emery Falls in the Fall

Lower Emery Falls in the Fall

There is something about waterfalls that draws many people in. And fall - autumn is a great season for their exploration. Seasonal rains add back some water that dried up in summer and colors provide a gorgeous setting for the flowing water. Fallen leaves line the banks. What's not to like.

For the waterfall hunters, Emery Park features several small waterfalls. You can find info on those on Fullzguy's Western New York Waterfalls page, even though this specific waterfall is not documented there. It is downstream from Emery Falls, thus my made up Lower Emery Falls title.

Emery Park is in the village of South Wales, NY and offers hiking, biking, picnic shelters, baseball, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and also downhill skiing with a T-Bar to get you back up. You can also hike along the East Branch of Cazenovia Creek in its eastern-most section. And finally, it also has a disc golf course.

Emery Park is a short drive south from East Aurora and not far from Buffalo and its suburbs.
