Out before sunrise at Knox Farm, enjoying the wonders of fall season and nature's creativity. The northern sky showing hints of color from the sun that was about to peek over the horizon and the red barns wrapped in a foggy veil of the crisp morning. Add a path to it all lined with a wooden fence and what more could one ask for?

Knox Farm State Park is the former country estate of Buffalo's renowned Knox Family. It is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora. There is a variety of habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, ponds and wetlands.

The park offers hiking, cross-country skiing, biking (in designated areas), and horseback riding (by permit), as well as wildlife spotting.
