A road zigzagging through the woods of Chestnut Ridge Park as the early morning sun lit up the brand new spring foliage on the trees. At last, the gray and bare trees came to life after a long winter and created a welcoming scene for the morning hiker.

Chestnut Ridge Park is an Erie County park in Orchard Park, New York with opportunity to pursue many outdoor activities. There are tennis courts by the casino, and a sledding hill for some winter fun. Children's playgrounds are scattered throughout the park. There's also a baseball diamond with bleachers. And on the sledding hill by the casino you will also find the start of an 18-hole disc golf course tracking the park ravines and mostly hidden in the woods. You can also go for a run or a bike ride through the park, or just walk. Picnic shelters are also available by reservation.
