South Emery Falls, one of many waterfalls at the Emery Park south of East Aurora, New York (NY). As of right now, one of five I know of and one of four I have seen. It's amazing how many waterfalls there are in Western New York, let alone the whole New York State. And in the fall, the flowing water just seems to go so well with the colorful fallen leaves!
For the waterfall hunters, Emery Park features several small waterfalls. You can find info on those on
Fullzguy's Western New York Waterfalls page.
Emery Park is in the village of South Wales, NY and offers hiking, biking, picnic shelters, baseball, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and also downhill skiing with a T-Bar to get you back up. You can also hike along the East Branch of Cazenovia Creek in its eastern-most section. And finally, it also has a disc golf course.
Emery Park is a short drive south from East Aurora and not far from Buffalo and its suburbs.
