Daybreak over the cliffs at Hamburg Beach on a wonderful Western New York fall morning. Not a soul anywhere, all quiet, just a gentle hum of the water spilling on the beach on Lake Erie lakeshore.
First, the night is broken in the east with the first hints of light sneaking into the sky, gradually reaching further and further towards the western sky. And then it happens. The subtle pastel pinks light up the sky over the lake. Magic!
Hamburg Beach, a very nice sandy beach on the shore of Lake Erie in Hamburg Town Park, Hamburg, NY. The park also includes a boat launch and a year-round fitness center. And in winter, it becomes a launch pad for ice fishing expeditions - that is during solid winters when the lake freezes solid and turns into a frozen tundra. In 1914, Locksley Park Company donated this land to the Town of Hamburg for its citizens recreational use.
