The boat launch on Green Lake in Yates Park at sunset. All was quiet, wind was none, the surface of the lake was like a mirror. A beautiful end of a fall day in Orchard Park, NY. And yes, as a bonus, nature used it brush to add some color to the sky and those same golden tones reflected beautifully in the lake mirror. What else could one ask for?

Green Lake is in the Yates Park, Orchard Park, New York, just a few miles south of Buffalo, NY. The lake, the park, and some surrounding land were donated to Orchard Park by a local businessman Harry Yates at the beginning of the twentieth century.
