The trees living on the tiny islands of the Upper Niagara Rapids have always fascinated me. They seem unlikely places to support life even in summer but when winter strikes it seems completely impossible, yet, they're there. In winter, wrapped in a frosty coat weathering the constant onslaught of elements at the edge of the Niagara Falls.
