Around the Big Bend
The always magical view east at the Big Bend of Letchworth at sunrise, here in a super wide angle view. The suspense starts about 30 minutes before sunrise as the sun starts tuning its colors and the sky goes through beautiful transformation each minute. Then, the sun pops out, the action peaks, and a new day starts.
Letchworth State Park is about 35 miles south of Rochester, NY and 60 miles east from Buffalo, NY. It stretches along the Genesee River and follows it for about 17 miles. The park is most known for its three major waterfalls - Lower Falls, Middle Falls, and Upper Falls.
However, there are many additional waterfalls on the Genesee River tributaries that are well worth exploring, especially for those who have already visited the major and most obvious points of interest.
