Great time of the day and a great place from the history of Buffalo, NY. Sometimes, my early morning steps lead far away from any civilization, other times, right into it.

The Buffalo Central Terminal was built in 1929 by the New York Central Railroad. It is one of the beautiful Art Deco buildings in Buffalo, NY. Art Deco as a style emerged in 1920s in Paris and spread around the world, enjoying popularity through the 30s and even through World War II. It was a modern style based on geometric shapes and was rather popular for railroad stations in the United States in the 1930s. The terminal closed to passenger traffic in 1979.
