Ice fishing huts on the Outer Harbor of Buffalo in the middle of a snowfall. While this 2012 - 2013 winter season did not provide the best conditions for ice fishing it has been much better than the last one. At least the lake froze this time around and froze enough to walk on and set up. Here, the layer of ice was probably barely enough though, with some cracks and water showing along the shore. On the other hand, it made for easier hole drilling.
I like to arrive early to any location and it paid here too. When I arrived, there was one hut already set up but others kept arriving. Watching them struggle across the ice and then set up made it quite enjoyable, with the cold weather and snowfall adding great winter mood.
