Riviera Theatre, North Tonawanda, NY

Riviera Theatre, North Tonawanda, NY

The beautiful Riviera Theatre marquee stands out boldly at dusk as the cloudy blue hour sky provides a subtle backdrop for the bold colors. Light changes quickly after sunset and as the natural light fades it gradually balances with artificial lighting. Before it fades into blackness marquees, street lights, and other illumination often look their best.

The Riviera Theatre was built in 1926 by the Yellen Family. It opened on December 30, 1926 as Twin Cities Rivera. Today the historic Riviera Theatre is owned and operated by the Riviera Theatre and Organ Preservation Society (RTOPS)
