Most of the times, landscape photographs focus on the grand view, the open land ahead, the mountains in the background, the beautiful waterfall. I like those photos too. But when I am done with the grand I like to step closer and see the elements that contribute to the overall grand.

Here, I finished a sunrise expedition to a local park and decided to use my hike back to the car to isolate small sections of Murder Creek (what a romantic name, right?). In this photo, I really liked how the water flowed in various directions around the pair of partially submerged rocks. The shadow cast a nic blue tone around contrasting the whites of the water.
