Helfštýn Archway Cyanotype - Black Tea
An archway at the Helfštýn Castle, an original hand-made 5" x 7" cyanotype print from the Czech Republic.
It lacks the traditional cyanotype blue tones as it has been bleached and toned in black tea. The tones of tea replaced the original blues, providing the print with a different vintage look.
Photographed with a 35mm Nikon FE camera on Fuji Acros 100black and white negative film. Chemically printed on a hand-coated watercolor paper (Shizen Design Professional Grade Cold Press 100% Recycled) using the cyanotype process invented in 1842.
