Not far from the rather famous rock cities of Adršpach and Teplice lies another beautiful, yet much less visited area called Ostaš. It offers two hiking trails, an upper (blue) and lower (green) loops. Both offer labyrinths through the rock formations as well as peaceful walks in the woods.
This photo is from the lower loop that leads to Kočičí skály (Cat Rocks). Near its beginning there is a side trail to Sluj Českých bratří (Cave of Czech Brothers), a 90 feet {30 meters] long very narrow gap in the rocks.
Ostaš was declared a nature preserve in 1956. It is located at the upper part of a flat top mountain 2,100 feet tall (700 meters), with an upper and lower rock labyrinth and many named rock formations.
