Saluting the Sunrise

A tree at the North Dunes Nature Preserve on the western shore of Lake Michigan before sunrise. I really liked the silhouette against the colorful sky and that created an idea for an unplanned sequence of trees this morning.

North Dunes Nature Preserve is in Zion, IL, north of Chicago. It's just to the north of the Illinois Beach State Park. Both locations offer wonderful nature and gorgeous sunrises over he lake.
