Canyon Lake is located on the beautiful scenic Apache Trail near Phoenix, Arizona. As you drive this scenic road you will go by many spots worth stopping and photographing, if you are so inclined. Canyon Lake is definitely one of them. The steep canyon walls provide a beautiful backdrop and give the lake's name a meaning. This body of water is not a natural lake but a dam on the Salt River.
