We are fortunate to live in an area not so prone to strong tornadoes. Television reporting does not convey the destruction as effectively as standing on the spot where a strong tornado passed through just a month earlier.

At the tail end of our 2013 Road Trip we were passing by Oklahoma City and decided to stop at Moore, OK to gain a greater appreciation and pay respect to the victims.

On May 20, 2013, a destructive EF5 tornado struck Moore, OK. Winds peaked at 210 mph, killing 24 people and injuring 377 others.
