This old-style photo is overlooking the beautiful Pololu Valley in the northwest of the Big Island, Hawaii, carved into the eastern side of the Kohala Mountain. The highway 270 comes to a dead end at this point and you can't go on any further by a motorized vehicle. However, a beautiful zigzagging dirt trail can lead you down to the valley, undeveloped, beautiful, and pristine for the moment. The valley features a wonderful black sand beach.

There is something beautiful that is constantly drawing me to the hawaiian ridges disappearing into the distant haze. It always pulls me into the scene and I could just sit there and enjoy it forever. What a place!
