Beautiful ocean, a beautiful cloudy sunrise, and a beautiful beach with black rocks scattered around in sand and in the water. Must be Hawaii, right? Well, it could be but it is not in this photograph. Here, we are on the Atlantic Coast at the
Coral Cove Park located on Jupiter Island, Florida.
The Anastasia Limestone on the shoreline looks beautiful at all times and during a high tide and with winds from the East it can send the arriving waves high up in the air, up to 50 feet. But don't limit yourself to high tide only, low tide reveals more of the shoreline and gives the shore a different kind of beauty, even without the water in the air!
The advantage of this location? You can be there for a sunrise or a sunset. If you do not insist on the edges of the day, you have one more option: The
Nature Conservancy's Blowing Rocks Preserve. where access is limited by its operating hours from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
