Inside the Newfield Covered Bridge
Photographed from the Musser Overlook, the Newfield Covered Bridge, constructed between 1851 and 1853, is the oldest covered bridge in New York State still open to vehicular traffic. It features distinctive Town Lattice Truss design, secured by hand-turned wooden pins known as "trunnels". The bridge underwent major restorations in 1972 and 1998.
Photographed with a vintage 35mm Nikon FE2 camera on Fuji Acros II 100 black and white negative film and developed in replenished D-23 developer.
