Every time I had passed by on route 432 I wanted to stop but either the weather was not right, or it was at noon and I did not like the light, or worst, I did not have my camera. This time I made sure I did not leave without a picture of this beautiful church in the middle of nowhere.
St. Jacob Church (Kostel sv. Jakuba) is located between the villages of Roštín and Cetechovice in Moravia, Czech Republic. Originally, the village of Jablonná used to be located there but it was burnt down by the Swedes during the 30-year war.
The church stood at the location before Roštín. The first written mentions of the church date back to 1193, based on the village web site.
