Green Lake has been through a lot lately and the recent excavation had left it empty for a long period of time. However, the melting snow and rain of January filled it up a little bit and the freezing temperatures and snowfall turned it into the winter wonderland it should be! Here's colors lit up the sky in the distance about 15 minutes after sunset.

Green Lake is in the Yates Park, Orchard Park, New York, just a few miles south of Buffalo, NY. The lake, the park, and some surrounding land were donated to Orchard Park by a local businessman Harry Yates at the beginning of the twentieth century.
