As the sun has set and the sky tuned in some subtle but perfect colors over the Buffalo Botanical Gardens the crescent moon provided a beautiful cherry on top of the cake for this scene. The illumination of the interior along with the two outside lamps balanced with the sky very nicely too and I was happy to watch and wait for the best overall light balance.
The South Park Conservatory was designed by Lord & Burnham Co. and modeled after the Crystal Palace at Kew Gardens in England. Upon opening in 1900, the conservatory was the third largest public greenhouse in the United States.
