The front of the original Buffalo Milk Company building at 885 Niagara St, Buffalo, NY, a classic revival style complex. The Medina sandstone and Roman brick structure was constructed circa 1903. It was designed by the architect of the original Pierce-Arrow showroom on Main Street, Sidney H. Woodruff.
In 1909, Buffalo Milk merged with the Queen City Dairy. After Queen City, the companies that occupied the structure included Upstate Farms Cooperative, Serta Mattress, Brunt Manufacturing, Glassco, Contractor Cleanup, and others. Antique Architectural Circus bought the structure in 1996. It passed to the city in 2006. Bryan Lohr purchased the building in 2007 and now Regan Development Corporation and HHL Architects are moving forward on a project to transform the building into 53 apartments geared towards low and moderate income residents.
