English River on Buffalo River
English River Cement Carrier backing up Buffalo River passing by the GLF Grain Elevator Six Pack before it became the Labatt Blue Six Pack that one can see there today. The photo was taken from Buffalo Riverfest Park on Ohio Street, one of many recently created parks celebrating Buffalo's history and providing public with walking and biking areas.
English River was built in 1961 and Montreal, Canada is her home port. The GLF elevator complex got started in 1908 and stopped operations in 1970s. It's 6 cylinders are now part of Buffalo Riverworks with their new dark blue facelift.
