North Grand Island Bridge under Cover of Clouds

The afternoon was sunny with some nice floating clouds around but the radar did give signs of trouble coming. The south part of Grand Island was under an attack of a heavy downpour. The north stayed dry, but the clouds around were ominous and the western sky showed no hope of sun peeking through. i think that gave the North Grand Island Bridge a more dramatic backdrop than a normal colorful sunset would provide.

As the South Grand Island Bridge (Photo 1, 2), the North Grand Island Bridge consists of twin truss arch bridges, one opened 1935 and the other 1965.
