Blue Hour Shea's

Blue Hour Shea's

This photograph shows the beautiful Shea's during a late blue hour with the last remains of daylight in the sky providing a backdrop for the theater's marquee. A crescent moon adds to the overall lighting intrigue.

This Main Street area is freshly past reconstruction with the train and cars sharing the road. The benches in the foreground are inviting you to sit down and soak the scene in.

Shea's Performing Arts Center, originally called Shea's Buffalo, is on downtown Buffalo's Main Street between the Fountain Plaza and Allen / Medican Campus stations (the Theatre train station no longer exists as a result of the project to bring car traffic back to Main Street). The theatre opened on January 16, 1926 with he film King of Main Street.
