This photograph is of the Aurora Theatre in East Aurora during a blue hour rain shower. The darkening sky after the sunset and the heavy clouds provided a beautiful blue hour backdrop and contrast to the red and yellow colors of the artificial lights. The rain added a glaze to the sidewalk that reflected more of the red tones for an overall colorful photo of one of East Aurora's signature buildings and its neon marquee. The Aurora Theatre opened in 1925.
