The sun dipped below the horizon in the distance as the sky retains the last bits of color of the day, soon to turn dark as night takes over. A quiet bay of Poipu Beach, a lone palm tree, little bit of breeze, perfect time to star in the distance and get lost in the moment.
Kaua`i is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands and fourth largest of the archipelago. The first European known to reach Hawaii was James Cook who landed at Waimea Bay and named the archipelago Sandwich Islands after his patron, the Earl of Sandwich. Later, king Kamehameha I named the islands after his home island of Hawaii (the Big Island).
