A cloudy night at Green Lake well after sunset. Last bits of daylight in the sky and over the lake. Walking along the shore and soaking the blue hour in, this section of the shore caught my eye. A stark contrast of the dark silhouette against the moody blue world all around. And as it was windy and the surface full of ripples the long exposure was effective in smoothing those out and creating this peaceful scene.

Green Lake is in the Yates Park, Orchard Park, New York, just a few miles south of Buffalo, NY. The lake, the park, and some surrounding land were donated to Orchard Park by a local businessman Harry Yates at the beginning of the twentieth century.
