Polihale State Park is on the other, less frequented western side of the beautiful Na Pali coast of Kauai. Dry and mostly sunny but with a rather dangerous surf that does not make this beach a popular swimming location. It's also only accessible via a dirt road that can be in a good shape one day and not so good another.

However, if you are looking for a beautiful place to enjoy a sandy beach, few people, and wonderful views to the northeast it's worth getting here.
