Winter as Should Be

Early morning winter wonderland in Emery Park, East Aurora - Buffalo, New York (NY). Snow on the ground and trees.Emery Park Winter Wonderland This past week has been as winter should be. White all around, cold, and really fresh. You can tell winter's right when you step out into the cold and feel your nose freezing up throughout and snow crunching and squeaking under your feet. Even better if recent snowfall dressed trees in a white coat top down.

My pre-sunrise visit to Emery Park was not timed perfectly, a day sooner would have been even better since that was right after a fresh coating of snow. This morning, the trees wee dressed a bit less but thanks to a lack of wind, everything still looked beautiful

I spent only about an hour and a half there and mostly just walked, taking only a handful of photographs, deleting most later anyway. Somehow, I could not really match the great feeling of freshness and express it in the pictures. Still, it was a wonderful time and I am ready for some more - after I catch up on the missed sleep.
