New Collection - World without Color

World without Color - a New Black and White Collection - Horseshoe Falls of Niagara Falls in Winter with frosty vegetation around. Ontario, Canada.Frosty Horseshoe Falls I am excited about this new collection. I like bold colors and often seek them out. I like waiting for warm light that further brings colors alive. However, I have always also liked photographs completely devoid of any color at all. Black and white photographs highlight different aspects of the scene - shapes, lines, curves, textures, and tones of brightness stand out more clearly.

During other seasons black and white photographs are a form of abstract in my opinion capturing the world differently than as seen by our eyes. In winter however, the landscapes are almost monochrome to begin with and I like that capturing these landscapes in black and white removes the hints of color that are often more distracting than supporting of the concept.

Have fun whether your world is colorful or black and white!
