Fall At Watkins GlenWestern & Central New York Landscapes
After migrating my photographs of bridges into the Buffalo gallery and then carving them out as a Bridges of Buffalo collection the rest of my thoughts was still bogging me down. I was afraid of doing a significant move like that but I also felt it was necessary.
So rather then having the ominous cloud hanging over my head I took the leap and moved things around some more:
-
I have split my Landscapes gallery into two: Buffalo & Western New York Landscapes and Landscapes Faraway. That was to separate my home region from the rest of the world and help my local visitors and clients find photographs of the area. I have included Central New York in that group too since many Central New York places are popular weekend destinations for people living in Buffalo and around.
-
I have moved the photographs of local natural landscapes from the Buffalo gallery to the new Buffalo & Western New York Landscapes gallery, and renamed the Buffalo gallery to Buffalo Cityscapes. It features local landscapes with man-made elements.
-
I no longer have the Water gallery. It just no longer made sense to me and it was tough to pick what goes to landscapes, what goes to water, and what goes to winter. Photos from that gallery moved over to either Buffalo & Western New York Landscapes or Landscapes Faraway. However, I see myself creating a Waterfalls collection at some point
-
I no longer have the Winter gallery either. The reasons were mostly the same as with Water, plus I already had an Autumn collection of photographs pulled in from my other galleries. Photos from that gallery also moved over to either Buffalo & Western New York Landscapes or Landscapes Faraway. And yes, I now have a new collection called Winter.
These changes themselves were not too difficult but due to the way I have my blog organized, it was quite a bit of work to get all of the links from the blog to galleries straightened out. And I am sure I missed a few here and there. So please, if you notice something not working as one would expect, drop me a note. And how about broken external links? Oh well, it's done.
Enjoy spring, have fun!
