When you hurt yourself and are stuck inside not being able to go explore the beautiful mountains all around, rain is a welcome change of pace. I had found the creek and trees at the back porch enchanting even before but now with the rain falling it all felt even more magical. I spent quite a while just staring into the view, eventually getting the camera itch.

Enjoyed best by going full screen first and then starring intensely.

While it may seem the rain provides the sound ambiance here most of it comes from the rather powerful flow of the creek that provides a wonderful sleeping atmosphere for sleeping. Just open the window wide and let the creek drown all other sounds. I would not mind this in my own back yard.
