Hello all of my blog followers! Unlike last year, I got my act together earlier this year giving you the opportunity to pick some of my photographs as presents for your family and friends this year. Since it is just the beginning of October, there is time to select one (or a few), decide on your framing options (you can buy them matted and framed directly from my website, get them framed locally, or do the honors yourselves), buy and receive them, and get them wrapped. And of course, if you just want to decorate your own walls with photographs from Buffalo and Western New York (and beyond), I would be very happy to help you.

Middle Falls Bright & ClearA frame-filling view of the beautiful Middle Falls of Letchworth State Park illuminated at dusk. Thanks to the illumination, it's quite a different experience to watch the sun set, throwing the gorge into a deep shadow and darkness only for the waterfall to emerge ever so bright! Letchworth Middle Falls is one of the three major waterfalls right on the Genesee River as it flows through Letchworth State Park, and one of many waterfalls in the park. The waterfall is 107' high and about 285' wide. Letchworth State Park is about 35 miles south of Rochester, NY and 60 miles from Buffalo, NY. It is along the Genesee River and follows it for about 17 miles. The park is most known for its three major waterfalls - Lower Falls, Middle Falls, and Upper Falls. However, there are many additional waterfalls on the Genesee River tributaries that are well worth exploring, especially for those who have visited the major and most obvious points of interest.

Get Inspired!
The Letchworth State Park Genesee River gorge at the beginning of a new day. So much to see, natural and man-made. Prominently featured in the center are the Middle Falls, and further back the Upper Falls. There, you can also see the two bridges, the old historical trestle (no longer standing) and the new arch bridge just in front of it. Then the steep rocky cliffs. And it is all surrounded with the bold colors of fall.

Sideview of Kleinhans Music HallA black and white sideview of the beautiful Kleinhans Music Hall and its reflection. Illuminated by bright sunlight under a gorgeous summer sky with clouds streaking overhead in this long exposure photograph. Somehow, it reminds me of a whale. Kleinhans Music Hall opened in 1940 and was designed by Finnish architects Eliel and Eero Saarinen.

Under the IceA wonderful opportunity to photograph newly forming ice on Green Lake and get a glimpse into the world below. Green Lake is in the Yates Park, Orchard Park, New York, just a few miles south of Buffalo, NY. The lake, the park, and some surrounding land were donated to Orchard Park by a local businessman Harry Yates at the beginning of the twentieth century. References: Town of Orchard Park History

The Earth is RoundWinter wonder on Lake Erie at sunset. The ice layer was about 10 inches and growing daily with the prevalent cold temperatures. The main feature this evening was the fairly wide and very long crack in the ice leading into the distance.

Lush Green RavineWhen I turned the corner while creek walking this ravine I could not believe my eyes. The green was so intense! And all of those fallen and leaning trees adding mystery! What a sight so close to home. One of many beautiful creeks and ravines in the Chestnut Ridge county park in Orchard Park, NY.
