The Beautiful Season of Color is Winding Down All Around, Emery Park Pictured Here

This is probably one of my last fall themed posts. The season has progressed and there is not much green around any more, trees are mostly yellow, orange, red, or bare.

Fall - autumn in Emery Park. Dried up creek bed full of colorful leaves, yellow foliage in background. Emery Park, South Wales, New York (NY).Fall in Emery Park This early morning photo is actually a few days old, taken at Emery Park in South Wales, NY, not far from East Aurora or Buffalo. It was a cloudy morning just about perfect for wandering through the woods. While I did not get the light piercing through the foliage providing strong back light, I did get plenty of diffused light and some moisture in the air to saturate the colors for me.

As you can see, the creek here is a testament to the very dry summer season we've had here. I was lucky to find some water sitting there, and in one area actually found a gentle flow.

I really liked the contrast in color. The oranges and reds mostly fallen down in the creek bed while the yellow leaves still hung up on their trees. And there still was my favorite part, a gentle sprinkle of greens for color contrast and depth of the scene!

Have fun with colors while they're here!
