Invisible Transiting Venus This one goes back to last year, back to that special day when we had a unique opportunity to watch Venus Transit, a sight not to be repeated for those who witnessed this one.

When it was all over it left me wondering about the relativity of time, and the (in)significance of human beings in space time. I've just seen something that has been going on for millions of year and will keep on going for millions of years, yet, I won't see it again.

This telephoto landscape along with the 4-second exposure resulted in a somewhat abstract rendering of the scene in front of me. The telephoto compressed the distance into layers stacked on top of each other and the long exposure turned Lake Erie into an undefined bright substance between the two dark silhouetted shorelines.

So is this more of an abstract or a landscape? I am left wondering. An abstract landscape.
