Glass Grain... or what do you see?
Abstract photographs provide an escape from reality. Without any specific context, any recognizable shape, any clues to the size or perspective, true abstracts could represent just about anything.
Other abstract photographs are abstract only initially but after a while something gives the reality away. I don't think one is better than the other but they're different. One type offers more of a puzzle, a brain teaser, the other an escape into a world with no answers, far from the every day realities of our lives. Both challenge the mind, both fuel one's imagination, both can take you on a trip faraway, even if just for a brief moment.
Have fun challenging your reality!
