Sunset over Hamburg BeachHamburg, NY
Last year, I shared a post called One Beach, Different Looks with you. Then, I added a pinhole twist into it with A New Chapter, a New Book - Pinhole Photography. And today, I'd like to add one more photo to the mix and bring it all together.
It's a sunset photograph with subtle colors. Definitely not one of the wild colorful shows nature can put up over the lake. But that gives it a more calming, relaxing, peaceful mood. And this evening, I really liked what the moving clouds did shortly after sunset. As if mirroring the jagged curve of the cliffs they moved off to the right seemingly opening up a gate, a gate through which to watch the show.
As always, scenes like these are very short lived, quickly transitioning into something altogether different. The clouds move out of their perfect position, colors fade, light dims, and somewhere down the road a new wonderful opportunity awaits!
