Broadway TheatreBuffalo, NY The Broadway Theatre, Buffalo, NY established as the Sattler Theatre in 1914. It was renamed to Broadway Theatre in 1920. The building was purchased by the Western New York Minority Media Professionals (WNYMMP) in 2008. Fundraising has been ongoing since but I have not been able to get any recent info on the fundraising status or plans as of 2017.

It's a beautiful historic building that was on the city demolition list for a while. Will it make it in the end? With so much positive happening in Buffalo, will it reach all the way here?

On this beautiful blue sky day I wanted to insure the building's preservation in a photograph of mine. Out of the possible angles and given the surroundings I opted for the straight head on shot here carefully leveling the camera and aligning all of my verticals to insure I would not cause a premature leaning of the building forward or backward.

Once I was happy with the single shot version I took this opportunity one step further and worked to create a series of shots to stitch into one large resolution image. There are several advantages to this. First, one could print a photo really large with an amazing level of detail even upon close inspection. And second, it allows for zooming in and studying the architectural details as if standing right by the facade despite being across the street.

In the end, I captured 13 vertical and overlapping photographs to provide a 134 megapixel photograph of the Broadway Theatre. It's hard to show how large it could print here so instead I will show the detail captured:
