An early riser at the Erie Basin Marina in Buffalo, NY usually gets rewarded with some wonderful views, great light, and solitude. It's a nice change of pace being here in the early morning hours.

I arrived early and walked around enjoying the crisp air and quiet atmosphere while looking around and waiting for the sun to rise out of its bed. And then it happened and the first rays started reaching the tops of the buildings. I set up and waited, eventually clicking the shutter and capturing that particular moment of the morning. At these hours the changes are very rapid. Moment by moment additional windows and floors and whole buildings get lit up. It's almost like a real-time time-lapse.
