Summer Cooldown

August 15, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

It's the middle of summer so who would not like a brief cooldown, especially if it's just virtual? From a location point of view we're not heading far from the locations featured in the last few posts but we're traveling back in time to February.

I got up early to catch the morning blues at a wonderful location in downtown Buffalo where I like to return to often. Early mornings always have the advantage of being almost people free. Winter mornings seem to amplify this further, especially if it's really cold. Conditions were supposed to be good for some morning fog, which helped me set the alarm for an early wake up call.

The fog turned up to be so subtle that it was barely visible but combined with the morning hour and streetlights I was very happy with the scenes in front of me.

The best part? Unlike my previous attempt, the lamps did not shut off the second I clicked the shutter button!
