Zine Issue 3: South Carolina Road Trip 2019Zine and a Pentax Spotmatic After a brief pause  I am happy to announce that my third photo zine, Zine Issue 3: South Carolina Road Trip 2019, is now available in my zine store. 

It is my first color zine offering a mix of color and black and white photographs from our 2019 winter break road trip to South Carolina, and a side trip to Savannah, Georgia.

The featured locations include Charlotte, Congaree National Park, Bluffton, Savannah, Port Royal, Beaufort, Pinckney Island, and Charleston.

The zine is press printed into a 8.5" x 5.5” landscape format booklet. It has 32 inside pages plus the front and back cover and offers 20 color and 15 black and white previously unpublished photographs. Each photograph is captioned with the location and the means of capture.

All photographs in the zine were photographed with a 35mm film SLR camera on a variety of color and black and white films from Kodak, Foma, and Ilford. All film was home developed in either Kodak XTOL for the black and white film or the Cinestill Cs-41 for color negatives. The one roll of Ektachrome was also hand processed in an E-6 KIT.

The purpose of this zine is not to make money but to share my photography in a non-digital format. That concept is reflected in the zine's price. It is only $8.00, which includes a $1.00 charitable donation to The National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA). I always like to give back to organizations that take care of the places I photograph and one of the featured and much enjoyed locations in the zine is Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge.
