Further up Waimea Canyon

I see there's another waterfall in today's post. But believe me, that's totally coincidental. It's the Hawaiian theme that was planned for today, not more waterfalls. I don't mind both getting combined though. I don't mind it at all.

Waimea Canyon in Kauai is quite a sight. It's deep, it's wide, it's quite colorful, there are often rainbows to be seen and sometimes, there's nothing to be seen at all. Clouds can roll in and fill the canyon in a matter of seconds disappointing many tourists at the various lookouts. It can disappoint especially the impatient ones that give up and leave quickly. With enough patience, chances are good the clouds will leave as quickly as they came, or at least part for a few brief seconds to offer a view into the hiden world.

And it's not just the wide sweeping views to enjoy. If you slowly and carefully scan the ridges and valleys you can find other treasures to rest your eyes on or to point a telephoto lens at.
